1.2.0.0 ported the Thorium Mod from tAPI to tModLoader's codebase. It introduced a large amount of items and NPCs.

Items

Thorium items:
- Thorium Ore does not generate on new worlds. Can only be obtained from Bags of Potential.

Icy items

Ocean items

Magma items:
- Magma Ore does not generate on new worlds. Can only be obtained from Red Hot Bags.

Darksteel items:
- Smooth Coal not required in recipe as world generation is yet to be implemented.

Granite items:
- Replaced Obsidian items.

Enchanted items:
- Enchanter's Sword, True Enchanter's Sword, Spectral Blade and Artificer's Shield.

Dragon items:
- Brand new set bonus: Your attacks have a chance to unleash an explosion of Dragon's Flame.

Flesh Items:
- Brand new set bonus: Consecutive attacks against enemies might drop flesh, which grants bonus life and damage.

Town NPCs:
- Diverman, Cook, Cobbler, Confused Zombie, Blacksmith, Druid, Desert Traveler and Weapon Master.

Dungeon:
- Darksteel Knight, Gelatinous Cube, Sludge, Shambler, and Raging Minotaur.

Underground Jungle:
- Flying Bio-Mass and Mud Man

The Grand Thunder Bird:
- Pre-Eye of Cthulhu boss who summons Storm Hatchlings.
- Drops:
  - Thunder Talon, the Zephyr and the new Storm-Hatchling Staff.
  - Now has a Treasure Bag which contains the Talon Burst.

Additions

Blood Moon has been overhauled:
- Several new enemies including the Mini Boss, Patch Werk.
  - Engorged Eye, Impaled Zombie, Grave Limb, Severed Legs and Blood Drops.
- Many new items to craft and obtain:
  - Blood Drenched Dagger, Blood, Severed Hand.

Underground Jungle
- Army Ant which drops the Hive Mind.

This version did not have official patch notes. This page was made long after the fact.
Not everything from the tAPI version was ported over in 1.2.0.0. Many more items and enemies were ported in the following patches.
