Empowerments are special stat-improving effects that originate from Bard weapons or equipment. These buffs have a short duration, but can be extended by wearing certain Bard equipment.

Weapon Empowerments[ | ]
Weapon Empowerments are generally given by Symphonic weapons. These have 4 levels, with each level increasing in power. Only 1 level of the same empowerment can be active, and when receiving multiple levels of the same empowerment, only the highest level version will be kept. After receiving this type of empowerment, a bard orb will orbit around the player, with their color representing the empowerment type and the size representing the empowerment level.

- Level 4 Weapon Empowerments can only be received by dealing critical hits with symphonic weapons while wearing the Ornate armor.
- Empowerments can be extended by a maximum of 65 / 70 seconds.

- 1.6.3.7: Nerfed Life Regeneration from 2 per empowerment level to 1 per empowerment level.
- 1.6.1.0: Overhauled empowerment system:
- Added Aquatic Ability, Empowerment Prolongation, Flat Damage, Flight Time, Invincibility Frames, Jump Height, Maximum Resource, Resource Consumption Chance, Resource Grab Range, and Resource Regeneration.
- Removed "Ammo Consumption", "Mana Regen", "Max Health", and "Max Mana".
- Now granted on instrument use instead of on enemy hit.
- Durations are now all equal, defaulting at 5 seconds.
- Now sorted into groups by instrument category, instead of being arbitrarily spread out.
- 1.5.1.0: Removed Accessory Empowerments; now innate to Subwoofers.
- 1.4.3.2: Empowerments no longer use buff icons. Instead they show up as bard orbs that orbit around the player and the buff is shown upon receiving.
