The Freeze Ray is a Hardmode gun that is dropped by the Borean Strider. It shoots three bullets in quick succession, although it consumes all three. It turns any Musket Balls or Silver Bullets it fires into Frost Beams, which can apply the Freezing debuff upon enemies that significantly decreases their movement speed; however, bosses cannot receive this effect.
