The Umbra Blaster is a craftable Hardmode gun. On use it fires a harmless ball of shadow that decelerates while the player holds the attack button down. Upon either releasing the attack button or automatically after 5 seconds, the shadow ball detonates into 8 bullets which spray outwards in a circular radius. Each firing only consumes 1 bullet.

The shadow ball additionally fires 2 smaller shadow shards perpendicular to the main shadow ball's original trajectory. The shards rapidly decelerate, and after a second rush towards the cursor's position to explode. The shards only deal damage when they explode, where they deal 133% of the base weapon's damage.

Its best modifier is Unreal.
